Hello Yellow Duck Families,
Sometimes as adults we forget to consider how children really feel about new things. When the Valentine’s Dance was approaching last week, we discussed all things dancing. We asked them how they felt about dancing, what they might wear, and prepared them for the fact that it would be dark when they came back to boogie. We could have left it at that. Instead, each day of the week before the big night, we learned a new dance move. Last Friday, our Yellow Ducks hit the dance floor with confidence and joy. They truly danced like no on was watching and we were so proud of them.
While you can’t always prepare for what life will throw at you or your child, for those times you can, it’s helpful to work through them together. Wonderful memories are made that are tucked away in your heart forever!
““Sing like no one is listening, love like you’ve never been hurt, dance like no one is watching and live like it is heaven on earth.””
💕We had our well-planned Valentine’s Party on Thursday, and it was so much fun! I’m sure you heard all about it. The food, the decorations, craft, bingo, were all a hit. Ms. Carina provided us with fairy hair, which a couple of friends will get next Tuesday as we ran out of time!
We’d say the Yellow Ducks did a grand job of party planning. The had ideas and they made them happen either themselves or asked for assistance to get it done. Thank you to Erica Gaskins for providing treats and fun extras for our party.
Valentine bingo!

We also would prefer that your child NOT be present during this time as it can be hard to have a productive conversation with them present. Thank you for your understanding. Note that we also have no school those two days.
