Yellow Duck Flower Shop

Hello Yellow Duck Families,

The Yellow Duck Flower Shop is open for business! Bouquets have been bought and delivered and everyone loved taking a turn at the cash register. We even added some essential oil to the petals so they smelled divine. Dramatic play opportunities like this one develop communication, “how much are those flowers?”, and social skills that place children in different roles (ie. cashier, flower arranger, or customer). If you need a flower arrangement, these Ducks can deliver!

This week in music and movement with Miss Vicki, everyone did such a great job of following directions. It’s not that they’ve had have a hard time doing so in the past but for whatever reason, this week they did exceptionally well. When it was time to leave, they formed a kindergarten line, thanked Miss Vicki, and marched back to the classroom. It made us so happy to see this but at the same time a little sad because they are needing us less and less (sound familiar?). We know our time is running out with them and soon they will be off to their next adventure. For now, we will cherish each moment we have with them!

We will be working on a new collaborative art piece soon and need clear, plastic water bottles. Don’t worry about caps as we do not need them. Send in any you might have in your recycling bins! Thank you!
