These past few weeks we continued to explore the many sights and sounds that let us know how quickly we are approaching the holiday season.

We have taken many walks to observe the changing leaf colors and hear them crunching as we walk through the piles. We've had fun chasing the lizards when they come out on a warm sunny day. We talked about the many different ways to prepare apples that we enjoy eating or drinking. We've replaced our glitter apples with jack-o-lanterns on our bulletin board. We've had creepy crawling spiders and spooky ghosts join the classroom. Be sure to look around and don't forget to look up. We've learned what a scarecrows job is and, in music, we even pretended to be one. We will finish the month by showing off our halloween costumes in a parade through ascension hall at 9:15ish on Wednesday and Thursday so join the fun and find a good spot to watch. We will then parade through the other classrooms before returning to our room. We will change into our play clothes and continue with our day. Please put an extra change of clothes in the cubbies if they aren't wearing them under their costumes so we can be comfortable the rest of day.

The next few weeks are going to fly by as we prepare for the holidays. I will try to keep you updated with these posts. Also keep an eye on our boards for upcoming events.
